More grim news in the past 11 days…

It has been eleven days since our report on the second wave outbreak, and there is little let up in ZTB activity. In spite of a two foot snowfall, we saw an additional 248 reports on ZTBs here in Maryland. Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey continue to be very hot. Rhode Island and New York are not far behind. There seems to have been an major outbreak in the Huntsville, Alabama area as well, with 96 reports in the northern portion of that state.

Overseas, Germany continues to be one of the harder hit areas, with 614 reports this cycle. Most seem to be concentrated on the German/French border near the Saar and Aquitaine. The recent outbreak in Hungary has expanded rapidly with 348 hits this reporting period. Other eastern European countries had numerous reports too, including Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Reports coining to trickle in from Asia as well, we heard again from Taiwan, Australia and Japan.

We had 1678 reports on 65 ZTBs in 20 states and 12 countries this reporting cycle.

Hunkered down in the bunker, surrounded by what would normally be that grey thawed band refrozen snow, our is a dull rust color. We bet you know why. Be careful out there!
